What is DSO, and why does it matter?
DSO — Days Sales Outstanding — is the average number of days an invoice sits unpaid after you issue it. If your DSO is 60 days and you invoice ₹10 lakh/month, you've effectively lent your customers ₹20 lakh of working capital — interest-free. That money could be funding inventory, payroll, or growth. Every day of DSO costs you roughly 0.033% of stuck capital (at 12% annual cost of capital).
